U.S. CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION OPENED IN PHILADELPHIA





On this day in 1787, the Constitutional Convention opened in Philadelphia, where 55 states delegates, initially charged with amending the Articles of  Confederation, later drafted the Constitution of the United States.
